  Sadly, Valeria lost her three-year battle with cancer. She is pain-free now and her husband, Claudio, knows we may encounter her again in some gentle wind gust or on some smooth wave. June 04

Mike died suddently in New Zealand. H had bought a house, furniture, a car and was ready to apply for residency.

Sadly, Mike lost his battle against cancer. His funeral was a remembrance of a full and happy life. Mike is survived by his wife Marina.

Albert   From Holland, Albert and Helen cruised from 1985 to 2000. While in Trinidad, Albert became the Yard Manager for IMS. In May of 2000, Albert suffered a massive heart attack and died. The entire cruising community attended his funeral. He was an integral part of the community.

After a great ten years of cruising, Pam died of cancer last January. Wayne is currently preparing the boat to sail again in Florida.

Dan passed in Trinidad June 2003. He had been a guiding force in the Cocorite Learning Central as well as a great help at the theatre group.

Rodney
Rodney had been a regular visitor for ten years in Trinidad and recently established the ANKH Internet Club at Tardieu Marine. He was also an avid and fierce competitor in the Quiz Night at Power Boats. Services were held in Trinidad April 2003.
Legacy
Doug Myers Long time competitor and winner in the Caribbean racing scene, he will now be racing in the big waters in the sky. He suffered a massive heart attach and passed on Father's Day 04. At Angostura Race Week, he had placed third overall in the Racing Class. He will be sorely missed.

David
For many years, David was the weather Guru for the Bahamas and the Eastern Caribbean, broadcasting from his home in Tortola. He also wrote the book "The Concise Guide to Caribbean Weather."
My Way
Henk
Henk passed in his native country May 6. He will be long remembered by the cruising community as a highly-talented engine repair man, machine shop genius, as well as a top-notch friend.

David
He was a good friend in the cruising community in the Caribbean, nicknamed "Dough Boy" for his gift of home made bread to newcomers in anchorages. He always had a list ready for cruisers to help them locate needed parts, supplies, or shopping spots. He passed away July 03 at his home in the States.

When in Trinidad, Alan played trumpet with local bands as well as Mood Indigo and they both enjoyed the horse races. Two years ago, they attended an Air Force reunion in Halifax and Joy was very frail then. She passed away in October 2003.

Owen passed unexpectedly in New Zealand while he and Sandy were
vacationing February 2002.

Harry died suddenly of a heart attack in Trinidad in April 2004. His wife Gaby is in the care of close friends and is making the necessary arrange-ments.

Cilla died of cancer earlier this year. 2003

Tom and Betsy
Many met Tom and Betsy at CrewsInn in Trinidad. Tom was lost at sea enroute Trinidad-Antigua last year followed unexpectedly by Betsy in Maryland. 2nd Feb 03, her ashes were scattered in the waters of Trinidad by a friend.
Vortex III
Bill
After 30 years sailing in B.C. and the Straits of Juan de Fuca, they began their lifelong dream of offshore sailing. In Zihuatanejo, Bill had to return to Canada with stomach distress. He died of cancer in April. The boat has been delivered to San Diego where it will be sold.
